Fringe: Amber 31422
Oddly enough, I really haven't felt like writing a review on this last episode. Not that I didn't enjoy it or anything, I just haven't felt the urge to sit down and write about it like I usually do. But I will make a few comments.
This was another good episode and I enjoyed it. I do like the Over There episodes better simply because that's where our Olivia is but I'm finding myself REALLY ready for her to go home. Which I know is coming very soon now, YAY! Is it bad of me to just kind of want to skip next week and get right to The Abducted so Olivia will be going home? I really just don't want to see anymore Alt!Olivia/Peter stuff. Ugh.
As for this last ep, I really liked how they merged the twin and "stealing your life" theme with Olivia's predicament. I enjoyed Head!Peter again, though the more I see this the more it makes me feel terrible for our Olivia if she does return home to find that no one, including Peter, realized it wasn't her for the past few weeks. Speaking of, my biggest complaint is that we'll never see the Rachel/Ella/Alt!Olivia story play out now that Rachel & Ella have SO CONVENIENTLY moved to Chicago. I know Rachel was there during Brown Betty and that they were only in town vising in Over There pt 1 but it just feels too much like a cop out since Rachel & Ella would be able to spot the fake right away. This makes me worry even more that they're going with the "Peter is clueless" storyline but I'm still sticking to my earlier theory. Dammit. I also loved her flashing into the NYC gift shop. And she knew at the end, or knew enough at least about what was happening. Hard to tell if her own memories returned completely yet but she definitely knew things weren't right and now knows how to get home. I can't wait for her to go home and for Alt!Olivia to GTFO.
Random things:
- Walternate is a very bad man. Those poor Amber victims :(
- I still want Alt!Charlie and Lincoln to return with Olivia Over Here
- I liked when Alt!Broyles told Olivia she had done good work. And he meant it.
- "Nature doesn't recognize good and evil. Nature only recognizes balance and imbalance."
Questions:
- Olivia lied about flashing over to the gift shop the second time but wouldn't they have noticed her gone from the tank during that time?
- We know how Olivia is going to get back home but how is Alt!Olivia going to get back where she belongs? GAWD, I hope she goes away. I don't even care where she goes, just as long as it's somewhere else.
