stargater | Spoilers ahoy!

Haven't had much a chance to post my thoughts about the spoilers and pictures that have been circulating so I'm going to briefly now.

Firstly, Matt's outfit for Eleven:

I like it actually. Not so sure on the oversized tweed jacket just yet but it'll probably grow on me... and maybe he into it. Hopefully he'll also have a couple different ones to switch in and out of from time to time. It does make him look a bit older and maybe that's the point. I like the shirt, pants, shoes, bow tie and I LOVE the suspenders.

See... suspenders! They're my favorite part of his outfit and hope they stay around permanently. Maybe they'll even change colors occasionally like Ten's ties did. And the bow tie, which I normally would say no to bow ties but it's awfully cute on him especially with the suspenders. Without the suspenders he'd look like a creepy used car salesman and no one wants that I'm sure.

Changes to the outside of the TARDIS - It looks old school and isn't a surprise and I'm quite curious as to what the inside will look like. And then the different sonic screwdriver which I think is kind of ugly and too big and clunky looking. But I'm actually glad these changes are being made because it sort of separates RTD's Doctors (Nine & Ten) from Moffat's Doctors and I kind of like having that. I like that Nine & Ten had their own version of these things and now Eleven (and beyond) and will have his.

Eleven's new companion - Amy Pond. I think they look like they fit well together, she's Scottish and hopefully will keep her Scottish accent. And she's wearing Chucks! Maybe a homage to Ten? Surely Eleven will comment about it hehee.

Then there's this... DNW! ;/ I was really hoping to never see River again. I actually didn't dislike her character but I also didn't want to ever see her again and now here she is. And his new sonic looks a lot like the one he gave to her... I'm trying hard not to be judgmental about it because I haven't a clue what's going yet but it still just doesn't settle well with me. So whatever is going on, does that mean that Eleven is the Doctor she originally knew (then how are they going to explain why she told Ten he looked so young?) or does she just meet Eleven in an earlier part of her timeline before meeting whichever Doctor she knew and later Ten? Sounds wibbly-wobbly & timey-wimey. Regardless, I'm not so sure about all these shenanigans Moffat might be up to. The one thing I am glad for, at least it's not our Ten all this is going to happen to - I know he's still the Doctor no matter what face he wears but I'm still comforted by the fact it's not David's Doctor and that a version of his Doctor is still alive and well and safely sealed off from all of it. Indeed.

He's probably going to bring EVERYONE back that he invented. I'd be willing to lay down money that we'll see Sally Sparrow and Jenny in this season, too. Who knows? Maybe he'll figure out how to bring back Madame de Pompadour. He's OBSESSED with his women and creating MORE women and MORE AND MOAR!

Anyway, I think he's just been biding his time waiting to bring all of his weirdness to the forefront. *sigh* It's going to be odd.

You're probably right about that, he will bring back all his characters in some way or another. I would HATE HATE HATE if we saw Madame de Pompadour again but I digress about that. I think he's going to try so hard to make it his own and not be in the shadow of RTD so I think we'll certainly get a dose of his weirdness and then some.

THANK YOU. I am happy to hear I'm not the only one who doesn't hate his new outfit. I am also in total agreement with you about how when she said Ten looked so young if it's 11 she sees first. HUH? I am curious to see how Moffat explains that plot hole. I was hoping to never see her again, but I am reserving judgement until it starts airing and I've actually seen the action and not justp photos from the set.

Yeah, I like it and it's grown on me quite a bit since I first saw photos of him. I also liked the first look we had of Matt too wearing the more Nine-ish clothes and I was sort of thinking we'd see something more like that but I'm glad he did this becuase it's more fitting for him I think.

Yeah, plot hole! We'll see :/

After the initial look it's really growing on me. Oversized? It doesn't look that oversized. Now the Second Doctor, he had an oversized jacket, but that's part of his lovability, or at least for me. It made sense though since it was suppose to be the First Doctor's jacket. I've heard people are comparing Eleven's look to Two some; he had suspenders as well as of course a jacket. Yeah I'm really curious about the console room too. God I hope Moffat shows more of the TARDIS. The sticker on the exterior returning doesn't make a whole lotta sense though. I think she looks just fine, but guess have to wait like with Matt to see how their characters are; god, they've repeated a lot of actors in this show LOL. Yeah, I don't really know about the screwdriver. :/ I like that it's different & with The Doctor giving his revamped old one to Song I expected a new one. I don't think it looks anything like the one he gave Song. o.O I hope to god Moffat doesn't retcon the story & make Eleven the one that loves her. It's gonna be a bit weird though...and tricky. Hmm.

Well, I just mean it's not as fitted looking as the rest of him. Not like David's jacket (not the trench coat) which was very fitted to his slim frame. But I like it, I like the whole outfit. I'm not sure what the significance of the sticker is but it says St. John Ambulance (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/St._John_Ambulance) with the logo and everything. I have a feeling the interior of the TARDIS is going to be more white, I'm thinking something similar to The Five Doctors and with it more techy looking. The sonic hmmm, maybe not so much the unlighted end of it but the lighted end looks more like the one she had I think. I'm actually kind of afraid Moffat is going to retcon Eleven all together, make him forget the past 4 or more years. I heard this rumor a long time ago and it's been in the back of my mind ever since. Though with River, I don't so much care if he changes it to make Eleven the one, it'd be better than Ten ;P Tricky indeed. And wibbly-wobbly.

Yeah. Well, it was on the TARDIS for the First & Second Doctors. :) Beyond that, beats me. Well if Moffat is a Fifth Doctor fan, it would make sense. Perhaps, but the actual device doesn't look like it; I just seen the toy of it after commenting by chance, but I didn't need the refresher. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Well yeah, but it would still really bug me. Uhuh. :p

Did it mean something then? The sticker? Yeah, I looked at a picture of the toy version and it doesn't so much because the other end and middle do resemble the old sonic more. Hmmm. Say no to retcon! Except in case of River! Sorry, couldn't resist ;P lol.

Nothing significant I don't think. It's a real organization, so it probably doesn't go beyond that. Having it again might just be Moffat referencing Classic Who. YES!!!!! Heh. :)

I have a feeling we're going to get more classic Who references than ever before. Not a bad thing either, I kind of like it :)

I'll probably be a happy camper. ^_^

Also it seems real ones had it. So authenticity is a possible factor too.

Ahh yeah, I bet you're right. It very well could be that. I wonder if they're going to explain the changes to the TARDIS or just change it and not? Hmmm.

I'd be cool if they actually showed it change or something. :)

Yeah, it would. Plus, I'd kind of like an explanation for why it changed or at least a mention of the change :)
