I've started making some changes that I've been thinking about for my journal and began with the re-categorization of my icons. Over the years, they've all just been uploaded and keywords added without much organization. They are now all organized according to fandom/subject and it will make finding certain ones in the list when posting a thousand times easier. So if you notice icons replaced by the default all over the place that is why. I've been thinking about doing it for sometime but didn't want all the post/entries to revert to the default icon when I changed the keywords. Though I realized that the longer I waited, the more that would end up being defaulted in the end anyway.
I've also starting to re-organize my tags, something I wanted to do about a year ago but kept putting it off. First off, I have way too many, several that just have one entry and some of the same things have two different tag words. I want to bring it together more smoothly, so I'm deleting and renaming. I never did get around to tagging all the entries made prior to the tags function being activated but that too is at the end of this once I get all the tags ironed out. That is no small task either, I have 6 years worth of posts to go through! Hopefully, with time and a little effort here and there I'll complete it. Also I noticed in IE (I use FF) that sometimes when viewing my journal, the page occasionally hangs for a few seconds. I've discovered it's the script for the tags and because I have so many, sometimes it will make IE freeze for a second. It isn't a problem in FF (FireFox FTW!) but I'd like to make it so the script doesn't cause the lag in IE.
The last and final change I want to make is moving my mood theme icons from photobucket to scrapbook. Not that there's a problem with photobucket, I'd just like everything LJ to be on LJ. I did this with all my header/component images several months ago. So if the external site is down like it sometimes is, it doesn't affect anything linked on LJ. And if LJ is down, it's all down together. I'm certainly not looking forward to doing it though. I haven't used the console since they've changed it all but doing the mood theme originally years ago was a pain. I only wish in scrapbook that I could view the link addresses for all the photos in a selected gallery instead of having to click on each one. It's just going to be another time consuming task, but I know I'll be much happier with all the changes once they're done.
I think that be about it.
