Some fireworks that were literally right outside my window.

ooooh teh pretty )

I didn't go anywhere to watch other fireworks mostly because I've had a crappy headache all day and it's been thundering and lightening like it's going to really storm and pour any second now. We are supposed get another bad storm tonight, I don't think there's been a day in the last week and a half where it hasn't rained at least once a day.

And I changed my layout again preparing for the new Harry Potter movie and book. I've been sufficiently readying myself for them by re-watching all the movies. I wanted to read OoTP again since it's been a couple years but I don't think I'll have time to finish it before the movie. I still may re-read it anyway, along with THBP.

I'm not completely satisfied with my new header image, I did it kind of quick but I'm really at a loss for a better idea at the moment. I do really like the colors though so if I do something different, it has to be able to fit into the color scheme.

Off to go watch Hannibal Rising, Netflix was taking too long to get it to me so I just went and bought it. It's part of the whole collection and I would have brought it anyway.

Cheers!

EDIT @ 01:14: I'm so glad I didn't go and waste money on that movie in the theatre. It was throughly disappointing and downright dull at times. I can only hope the book is better (they usually are anyway) though I'm in no hurry to read it anytime soon.

It's another gorgeous day out again! It's 65F, sunny and just lovely. I really hope this nice weather sticks around, the weather here has an awful tendency to turn ugly on us in March just when we're all ready for Spring.

And there was just way too much "foot"age on American Idol last night. If you watched it you know what I mean. Ick.

A couple quick thoughts on BSG )

Oh what a lovely day it has been today! It's about 55F outside right now and has been sunny and beautiful out. And according to the weather we are supposed to be in the 60's all week long, I sure hope so because I am so ready for spring. As much as I do enjoy winter, I haven't so much this year probably because of our lack of snow. It's just been cold and wet for so long now, I'm ready for nice pretty flowers, green trees and fresh air and all that.

And it's coming down pretty good too! I sort of have mixed feelings about it, on one hand I'm like "yay finally snow!" and on the other hand I'm like "if it's a significant amount of accumulation it's going to disrupt the rest of my week" lol *shrugs* but it's just so pretty :D

Scraping a half an inch of solid ice off your car at 6am in 12F weather really sucks. And my ice scrapper broke :/

Well I was right not to get all excited about the snowfall, we barely got any! Springfield which is about 25 minutes north of here got 11 inches! So close yet so far. Oh well, winter is still young :D

Well some winter weather is definitely here along with coooold temperatures. It's kinda weird, last night this time it was still in the 60s and now it's 24F! We've had freezing rain and sleet all evening and forecasters are saying the heavy snow is supposed to move in over night with the possibility of up to a foot! I'm still prepared to be disappointed about the snow accumulation but at least it feels like winter now. Though I really could do without the ice, it makes for some unpleasant driving conditions. School closings have been flying across the TV for the last hour and it reminds me of when I was in school and all the excitement of snow days. Too bad we can't have no-work snow days :P
