Reason #427 to watch Fringe:
Jun. 25th, 2010 01:43 amGratuitous Star Trek references & Leonard Nimoy. Need I say more?
Gratuitous X-Files references. That's Dreamland pt 2 ("Baby me and you'll be peeing through a catheter!") on the TV btw ;)
As you can tell, I've been re-watching Fringe lately. I've finished with season 1 of my re-watch and I'm two episodes into season 2. Night of Desirable Objects. I love this for a title. I wish it were an actual fishing lure because I think it's rather clever.
So I realized as I was watching season 1 again that I had forgotten some things. I had almost completely forgotten about the John Scott story arc. I also realize that I don't particularly care for it all that much the second time around. I mean it was good for setting up some of the events and for helping to establish Olivia's character but this time around I just wasn't as fond it. I think it's just because I'm much more interested in the alternate universe arc and all that's happening with it.
And I'd also forgotten how ZOMG!!@#1! I had been with the season 2 premiere because as far as premieres go, it was a helluva one with all it's WOAH! (/Joey) moments. Season 2 is much more fresh in my mind since we just finished it but I'm looking forward to seeing little tidbits of things that I hadn't noticed before. I love when that happens during a re-watch, it's almost like watching it new again.
The main thing I really caught onto while watching season 1 again was all the Observer sightings. I noticed him here and there while watching the first time but he's in every episode and with the knowledge of the Observers that I now have, they're much easier to spot. I know they're in every episode because the internets told me so but I wanted to try and spot him myself. I found almost all of them from season 1, there's a couple episodes I don't remember seeing him in though. And come to think of it, I don't remember seeing him in NoDO but I'm sure he's there somewhere.
Funny Fringe quote for the day:
Walter: "We're all victims of our own gene pool. Someone must have peed in yours."
