List time!

Since I've wrapped up the re-watch of series 2 and (series 3 is well underway), here is my list in order of favorite episodes:

Series 2
Tooth and Claw
New Earth
The Impossible Planet/The Satan Pit
Army of Ghosts/Doomsday
Rise of the Cybermen/The Age of Steel
School Reunion
Fear Her
The Idiot's Lantern
Love and Monsters
The Girl in the Fireplace

Series 2 was much harder to put into any kind of order than series 1 was. It's a tough choice for the #1 spot between Tooth and Claw & New Earth because I like them both very much and am immensely amused by them. In the end I choose Tooth and Claw because it can literally make me laugh for hours.

Now from Rise of the Cyberman/The Age of Steel to Love and Monsters, I like them all generally around the same so it was hard to order them. And just because it's second to the last doesn't mean I like Love and Monsters any less than some of those above it. Even though it's just a clip episode, I find it quite amusing actually. And of course that leaves The Girl in the Fireplace at the bottom and it's probably my least favorite episode of all the NuWho series, I just don't care for it that much.

Have I mentioned I have a bunch of Classic Who (4th & 5th Doctor) on the way from Netflix? I was so pleased they are even available *loves Netflix* :D

Wow, I'd put Fireplace much higher for the theme alone; I like it for more than just that though. :/ It's probably my favorite [original] instrumental piece on the soundtrack. I still don't think I could really order them though.

WOO Classic Who! Still working on William Hartnell; third & last season, but Hartnell was in the first two serials of the next series/season. Working on getting The Dalek's Masterplan, the last Hartnell Dalek serial, and currently only three out of twelve episodes in existence. I'd planned on skipping incomplete serials, but after watching the totally incomplete serial before, The Myth Makers ; The Doctor gave the Greeks the idea for the Trojan Horse lol, which I watched because it was the companion Vicki's last serial, I decided I could let myself watch those I was interested in. Watching reconstructions ain't all that bad, as long as the audio is good; all or most of missing DW serials still exist in audio-form thanks to fan recordings. Anyways, have fun. :)

I'm focusing on the ones I can easily obtain from Netflix right now then will search for those other ones at a later time. I hope to be able to watch as many as possible with my ultimate goal of seeing all that I can of every doctor. wheeee that's a lot of Who :D

The Doctor gave the Greeks the idea for the Trojan Horse
LOL I love stuff like that :P

Makes total sense :) my viewing will be built from online, Netflix, and a few from the library; CAME UPON THEM BY ACCIDENT! Stupid library for not labeling them Doctor Who in their catalog...maybe I should be a tad greatful for not finding them til now; won't watch them out of order, which I probably would of early on. I know it doesn't really matter, but it matters to me.

Yeah me too :p

I should try the library for those I might have trouble finding but our library kind of sucks so I don't have very high hopes of finding anything there. I'd rather not watch anything out of order but if I totally can't find something, I'd probably move forward and hope to find it later and rely on the 'net to provide me with the missing information :P

I just hope your library system is better than mine. I mean one of the things I found was the damn Key of Time set! It's actually an entire season/series, season 16, but they choose to name it by the title of the story-arc, which really I don't mine; it's a Tom Baker one fyi. Funny that the only other season/series like it is the last one for Colin Baker; it's called The Trial of a Time Lord and it's not available on dvd yet.

The last found episode & two more recons to go for The Daleks' Masterplan, WOO. Really there's one other recon, because there's a one-off episode which was actually the first episode to this serial; it was aired before The Myth Makers. For some reason I ended up not watching it, and really now being almost done, I don't wanna bother seeing it before or right after the last episode; I just wanna move on. x) I can actually say that it doesn't matter, doesn't seem I missed anything.

( The reason for the episode was, the season 2 opener, Planet of Giants, was originally four-parts long, but two got condensed into one, leaving them with one extra episode they could make. They decided it was easier using it to promote a future serial, rather than extending one by an episode, and The Doctor nor his companions were in it; William Hartnell still got credited though, due to it being written in his contract. )

hmm interesting. I've already got my first of the 5th Doctor discs (haven't watched it yet) but the first episode of the 4th Doctor hasn't arrived, it's been shipped from Idaho or something lol.

Robot I suppose. :) Yeah when I sent for I think The Web Planet, I had to wait longer than normal because it was coming from florida. :P

Yep, Robot it'll probably be here tomorrow, though it could have arrived today but I doubt it since we had another ice storm last night pffft. I've watched half of Castrovalva, it amuses me because it's sooooooo 80's (obviously since it's from the early 80's) but it makes me chuckle. I like the Peter Davison so far and plan to keep watching for now. :P

Cool :)

I still haven't finished Masterplan. :P

I rather despise Girl in the Fireplace just because the Doctor is so out of character in that one. He never would have ditched Rose just to save some chick in the 17th century.

Ahem, anyway, I tend to put Fear Her way up on that list, but that's for David Tennant reasons...I think. :) I agree with you on all the other ones. I love the porky-choppy scene so much in Love and Monsters that it's worth the whole episode. :)

I should rank my episodes like you did. It would probably take some serious thought. :) Serious thought that only Doctor Who warrants.

You know I think that's exactly it, what you said. I don't think he would ever just leave Rose (or Mickey either) just stuck on some abandoned spaceship while he strands himself in 17th century France. pffft.

Like I said, it was kind of hard to order the others because I really like all of them very much. And I did think about it for days and I had just re-watched the whole season and I still couldn't choose some over others. But listing is fun :P And I agree, DW definitely warrants some serious thought :D
