Inspired by [livejournal.com profile] iowagirl11's list of favorite TNG episodes, I've done the same because as you know I enjoy both lists and Star Trek ;) I listed these out in similar fashion a few years ago but can't seen to find the entry so I've done another one. It seemed a lot harder than I remember and with the exception of the first few episodes listed from each series, it's was kind of difficult to order them from that point on. I especially had trouble with the DS9 list because it's my favorite series and there are so many different episodes I like, picking just 10 was nearly impossible but I squeezed them out.

Books being released that I want. In list form with links of course. Links go to Wiki pages for each book and most of them contain cover art. Yay.

Star Wars:

Star Wars: Luke Skywalker and the Shadows of Mindor - Dec 30, 2008. Lord Shadowspawn lolz

Star Wars: Millennium Falcon - Oct 21, 2008. I've just recently found out about this one. According to the Wiki entry, it takes place after Invincible and supposedly is about Han & Leia (and Allana) as they investigate the origins of the Millennium Falcon as sort of a distraction after the events of Invincible. It sounds interesting and another book about Han & Leia is certainly welcome though like with the other books in the LOTF era, I'm a bit wary of it. But Han, Leia & the Falcon. Yay!

Star Trek:

Star Trek - Destiny: Gods of Night - Sept 30th, 2008. First in a new crossover trilogy consisting of TNG, DS9 and the Titan books. I'm excited for these.

Star Trek - Destiny: Mere Mortals - Oct 28th, 2008. Second book in the Destiny series.

Star Trek - Destiny: Lost Souls - Nov 25th, 2008. Third book in the Destiny series.

Star Trek: A Singular Destiny - Feb 2009. Supposed to be a follow-up from the Destiny series.

Star Trek Titan: Over a Torrent Sea - TBA 2009. Fourth book in Titan series. Just found out about this one as well, didn't know they were doing another Titan book. Yay.

Star Trek - Myriad Universes: Echoes and Refractions - Aug 12th, 2008

These two have just been released recently, I just haven't gotten them yet:

Star Trek - Myriad Universes: Infinity's Prism - July 22nd, 2008

Star Trek - TNG: Greater than the Sum - July 29th, 2008

Doctor Who:

Doctor Who: Ghosts of India - Sept 2008. Tenth Doctor & Donna

Doctor Who: Shining Darkness - Sept 2008. Tenth Doctor & Donna

Doctor Who: The Doctor Trap - Sept 2008. Tenth Doctor & Donna

Doctor Who: Beautiful Chaos - Dec 2008. Tenth Doctor & Donna

Doctor Who: The Story of Martha - Dec 2008. Tenth Doctor & Martha

Doctor Who: The Eyeless - Dec 2008. Tenth Doctor. Presumably occurs post Journey's End

Doctor Who: The Judgement of the Judoon - April 2009. Tenth Doctor

Doctor Who: Prisoner of the Daleks - TBA 2009. Tenth Doctor

Doctor Who: The Slitheen Excursion - April 2009. Tenth Doctor

The last four are listed as Tenth Doctor books without a companion. Not sure on the time line for them though it appears probably post Journey's End. Of course there are other points that they could occur but there isn't much other info on them at this point. And I'm still wishing for a Ten II & Rose in Pete's World book or something. It's canon now, so let's have it! Imagine... they could do a whole series of adventures in the alt!world. That'd be fantastic :D

Also, unrelated to books but because I was thinking about it... North American Doctor Who Series 4 (including Time Crash & VOTD) DVD release date is Nov 18th, 2008. Yay! And Oct 7th, 2008 for The Sarah Jane Adventures. Yay!

Did I mention yay! for all of the above? Because, yay!

Here be my complete (and revised) list of favorite Doctor Who episodes from top to bottom per season and for the specials. I did re-order a couple of the episodes from series 1 & 2 but 3 & 4 have remained unchanged. It's fairly rare that I change up the order of favorite episodes though it does happen sometimes as the show/characters progress. Anyway, allons-y!

Series 1
The End of the World
Dalek
Rose
Bad Wolf/The Parting of the Ways
The Empty Child/The Doctor Dances
Aliens of London/World War Three
Boom Town
The Long Game
The Unquiet Dead
Father's Day

Series 2
Tooth and Claw
New Earth
The Impossible Planet/The Satan Pit
Army of Ghosts/Doomsday
The Idiot's Lantern
Fear Her
School Reunion
Rise of the Cybermen/The Age of Steel
Love and Monsters
The Girl in the Fireplace

Season 3
The Shakespeare Code
Blink
42
Gridlock
Smith and Jones
Human Nature/The Family of Blood
Utopia/The Sound of Drums/Last of the Time Lords
The Lazarus Experiment
Daleks in Manhattan/Evolution of the Daleks

Series 4
The Unicorn and the Wasp
Turn Left
Midnight
The Stolen Earth/Journey's End
Planet of the Ood
Partners in Crime
The Fires of Pompeii
The Sontaran Stratagem/The Poison Sky
Silence in the Library/Forest of the Dead
The Doctor's Daughter

Christmas Specials
The Christmas Invasion
The Runaway Bride
Voyage of the Damned

Also, as far as favorite series go, it's kind of difficult for me to choose between 2 and 4 as top favorite but as of right now it'd probably go in this order:

Series
Series 2
Series 4
Series 1
Series 3

So, [livejournal.com profile] rithmah and I were talking a bit about Doctor Who earlier today, well, it was mostly me babbling nonsensically (as I tend to do when excited for things) about various episodes and how great the show is because I'm still determined to turn her into a fan ;) Anyway, it left me with an urge to watch series 1 over again so I had a little series 1 marathon starting from the beginning this evening. I know I said I probably wouldn't be watching all the episodes over again quite this soon but I think I'm going to have to. Simple as that, I just have to. So I going to. wheeee!

Like I've done for the previous 3 series, here's my list of my favorite episodes in order from top to bottom for series 4. It was pretty difficult ordering these too as there are just so many fantastic episodes. Here we go:

Planet of the Ood

The Fires of Pompeii
The Sontaran Stratagem/The Poison Sky

Edit:
Because I forgot to include the Christmas specials (I think of them separately rather than part of the season) here they are in order of favorite, the same in which they aired:

Christmas Specials
The Christmas Invasion
The Runaway Bride
Voyage of the Damned

It wasn't easy ordering these either but wasn't as difficult as series 2. Again like the others, there really aren't any eps that I just don't like, just some I don't like as much as others. By the way, I liked it quite a bit the first time I watched it but I really liked Blink when I watched it again this time. Despite it being a clip episode, it's an excellant story and really gives you a kind of creeped out feeling. It kind of reminds me of watching something that might have appeared in old XF episodes. And I love that they included the Doctor's 'easter egg' as an actual easter egg on the DVD. Brilliant!

So now I'm all done with my re-watch and am just eagerly awaiting new episodes! :D April 5th!! As if I could stand waiting around until April 18th for it to be on Sci-Fi pfft :P hehe I'll also admit to being spoiled for several things, accidentally of course. Really, it wasn't my fault! Spoilers find me, I don't search for them, they find meeee! Even though I've been spoiled and have massive questions concerning certain events, I've kept my speculation down to a low roar because really trying to figure out what's going to happen is enough to drive one mad.

Since I've wrapped up the re-watch of series 2 and (series 3 is well underway), here is my list in order of favorite episodes:

Series 2
Tooth and Claw
New Earth
The Impossible Planet/The Satan Pit
Army of Ghosts/Doomsday
Rise of the Cybermen/The Age of Steel
School Reunion
Fear Her
The Idiot's Lantern
Love and Monsters
The Girl in the Fireplace

Series 2 was much harder to put into any kind of order than series 1 was. It's a tough choice for the #1 spot between Tooth and Claw & New Earth because I like them both very much and am immensely amused by them. In the end I choose Tooth and Claw because it can literally make me laugh for hours.

Now from Rise of the Cyberman/The Age of Steel to Love and Monsters, I like them all generally around the same so it was hard to order them. And just because it's second to the last doesn't mean I like Love and Monsters any less than some of those above it. Even though it's just a clip episode, I find it quite amusing actually. And of course that leaves The Girl in the Fireplace at the bottom and it's probably my least favorite episode of all the NuWho series, I just don't care for it that much.

Have I mentioned I have a bunch of Classic Who (4th & 5th Doctor) on the way from Netflix? I was so pleased they are even available *loves Netflix* :D

I'm re-watching the NuWho (that is sort of catchy you know) series again as you might know and I've decided to list out in order my favorite episodes from each series. Here is series 1 and since I had a little series 2 marathon tonight, I'm nearly done with it so that should be along soon.

And I like lists. So here it is, top to bottom in order of favorites. I grouped the two-parters together because I rarely split the pole in this sort of thing. And there aren't really any episodes that I just don't like from any of the series so those closer to the bottom are just the ones that I don't like as much as the others. ;)

Series 1
The End of the World
Dalek
Rose
Aliens of London/World War Three
The Empty Child/The Doctor Dances
Bad Wolf/The Parting of the Ways
Boom Town
The Long Game
The Unquiet Dead
Father's Day

Ironically, the episode that I did see a bit of the first time it aired on Sci-Fi was The End of the World. I had only seen the part where Tainted Love plays and was a little confused (and a bit distracted by a video game if I recall) by all the going-ons so I went on about my business not paying it anymore attention. And now here it is at the top of my favorite list for series 1. Go figure! Oh, how I love irony.
