That was my original assumption as well but then I started to overthink about original!Doctor getting hit by the Dalek beam and now I'm not so sure.
I don't see why hand!Doctor couldn't be a full Time Lord, I mean the hand came from a full Time Lord so it could create one then. Makes sense to me. Like you, I would have agreed that original!Doctor would not have wanted to do domestic or whatnot though my thoughts on that changed after TSE. Also, I don't imagine him just stopping traveling, I would think there'd be something (created by Torchwood, UNIT or otherwise) that would allow them to continue traveling and exploring in some way in the other world. I only wish he'd have a TARDIS, maybe there could be two of those too!
I want Donna to have a happy ending as much as I want this theory to play out. I'm trying to convince myself that she's not going to die but I'm also worrying that they'll do a reset on her. Like she might not have memory of anything that happened and go about living a normal life. I've ran dozens of scenarios through my head on what could be going on with Donna and I just have no idea what they are planning. I just hope it's good because Donna's become one of my most favorite characters.
