Sadly I am short one hard drive now, yep my good ole trusty Abydos drive died on me. Not a huge data loss or anything, it was just mainly a backup drive for install files and documents. I've had that hard drive for about five years and its been in and out of every computer I've owned, shuffled about, tossed here, thrown there and yet it still trucked on like a good little piece of hardware. oh well at least now I have good reason to go out and buy another 120gb or bigger like I have been wanting for some time now hehe

I started up one of my older PC's, a rusty P3 that I used mainly as a fileserver and I think I'm gonna install SWG on it and see how it handles it so I can run two clients at the same time. I can do that now on one PC but it sure lags me in cities and such and I don't want to take the chance and have a BH come after my Jedi and die due to the lag. We shall see though.

I really really need to take my Jedi Costume boots downtown to the leather shop and have the zipper fixed. It started to partially break while in Indianapolis at C3 then just about totally broke the night of the ROTS release. One boot is missing enough teeth now that it won't even zip. I don't see that it will be that difficult, I just basically need a new zipper put on, hopefully it won't be expensive or time consuming, so I can have them ready for Halloween night. Speaking of...I think my Halloween night plans might have gotten ruined as I see my schedule has been changed at work and I'm schedueled to work that night now bah

Oh and you can see Venus out tonight, could the other night too and it's pretty cool. hehe makes me think of an xfiles quote from the brillant episode Jose Chung's from Outer Space by one of the MIB dudes:

"Your scientists have yet to discover how neural networks create self-consciousness, let alone how the human brain processes two-dimensional retinal images into the three-dimensional phenomenon known as perception. Yet you somehow brazenly declare seeing is believing? Mister Crikenson, your scientific illiteracy makes me shudder, and I wouldn't flaunt your ignorance by telling anyone that you saw anything last night other than the planet Venus, because if you do, you're a dead man."

bahaha that eppy is bleeping hilarious :P

ah and I must get up early in the morning so I suppose I shall ZzZzZz now

Went and seen The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy today. It was good and just as odd as I thought it would be. I read the 1st and 4th books long long time ago and barely remember much from them except for a few things. I did enjoy the movie and it was pretty funny.

Inspired by some of my favored Moebius quotes I bought some t-shirt transfer paper today and some blank t-shirts and made a couple t-shirts full of Moebius goodiness which I am greatly amused by. I've been having so much fun with my new printer, its an HP Photosmart 7450 and was insanely cheap at Wal-Mart and I had been wanting a new printer mainly because my other one (and the other 5 I have sitting around collecting dust) really sucks and I wanted a new photo printer. I was very surprised and pleased at just how well it printed color photos, it really looks to me to be clearer, sharper and brigther then developed film. I am very pleased.

Today has been the uber-good-deals day. I actually had no intention of purchasing anything when I went into Staples just to browse but lo and behold they had DVD-R drives on sale! It is an upgrade I had been wanting for sometime since I rebuilt this PC a couple years ago. I've put it off because there were other upgrades I wanted more, but when I seen this great deal I couldn't pass it up! Besides it was the last one they had left and I know I would never see one there again. They also had DVD-R and CD-R discs on sale so I am now fully stocked up. It's rare that I ever find anything at a decent price at Staples so it was definitely a chance not to pass up. I also found so many good deals on other things while I was out shopping today, it just must be one of those days. :D

Currently I'm burning Moebius pt 1 & 2 to DVD to test in my DVD player. heeee
