A few things

black_raven_87: The book list I promised, be warned it's kinda long! :P
The time frame after each book goes by how many years after A New Hope because that's how they put in in the front of the books. The bolded titles are must reads, regardless how terrific or terrible they are, they are essential to the ongoing story line. The rest are optional but I included them because some are very good and to warn you about others lol. There are a couple series I left out like the Young Jedi Knights and Junior Jedi Knights, they are young adult books and not essential. With the exception of Shadows of the Empire and the mention of Outbound Flight all these books are after Return of the Jedi.
Shadows of the Empire by Steve Perry (Takes place between ESB & ROTJ) - How Luke gets his new lightsaber and where Leia gets the Boussh disguise from.
The Truce at Bakura by Kathy Tyers (4 years after ANH) - Not a bad book but I'd hold off until later it's not really that important :P
The X-Wing Series by Michael Stackpole and Aaron Allston (most take place about 6.5 - 7.5 years after ANH but there are a couple that are spread out a little further) I've not read this entire series myself, but if you enjoy reading about the adventures of Rogue Squadron then go for it.
The Courtship of Princess Leia by Dave Wolverton (8 years after ANH) - This book is pretty silly actually but it was an amusing read.
Tatooine Ghost by Troy Denning (8 years after ANH) - This is one of my favorites, it takes place just before the Thrawn Trilogy but was written just a few years ago. Han & Leia are newly married and go in search of a stolen painting that has a hidden Rebel code in it. Leia comes across the video diary of Shmi Skywalker (Anakin's mother) and learns about the past. Despite the small continuity error about Thrawn mentioned, this was a really good book.
The Thrawn Trilogy: Heir to the Empire, Dark Force Rising, The Last Command by Timothy Zahn (9 years after ANH) - Excellent books, anything by Timothy Zahn is awesome. Definitely the starting point for reading the EU. :D
The Jedi Academy Trilogy: Jedi Search, Dark Apprentice, Champions of the Force by Kevin J Anderson
(11 years after ANH) - Let me just start off by saying KJA cannot write Star Wars in my opinion (though I liked his xfiles books) these books are essential to the story line and aren't that bad but still bad enough.
I, Jedi by Michael Stackpole (11 years after ANH) - Takes place during the above books and is mainly about Corran Horn.
The Callista Cray Computer Trilogy (that's just what I like to call it, it's not technically a trilogy but they all go together and I dislike all three of them btw ... 12 - 13 years after ANH):
Children of the Jedi by Barbara Hambly - IMHO Barbara Hambly is the worst SW author ever, I hated this book - it took me three months to get through it! But it was essential to the storyline and you should read it to share in everyone's pain ;P
Darksaber by Kevin J Anderson - Awful though not as bad as the two Hambly books.
Planet of Twilight by Barbara Hambly - Same as above this book was terrible.
The Crystal Star by Vonda McIntyre (14 years after ANH) - Another horrid book. Not essential really.
The Black Fleet Crisis: Before the Storm, Shield of Lies, Tyrant's Test by Michael P. Kube-McDowell (16 - 17 years after ANH) - omg and I thought the three Callista books were bad! Please save yourself and DO NOT read these, they are totally horrid, awful characterization and bad storylines (the second one should have been renamed 'The Adventures of Lobot' ugh) I never even finished the last book it was so bad.
The New Rebellion by Kristine Rusch (17 years after ANH) - Not a bad book but it is a little different and not really necessary.
The Corellian Trilogy: Ambush at Corellia, Assault at Selonia, Showdown at Centerpoint by Roger MacBride Allen (18 years after ANH) - I quite enjoyed this series though I know it's not one of the more popular ones out there.
The Hand of Thrawn Duology: Specter of the Past, Vision of the Future by Timothy Zahn (19 years after ANH) - Another great set by Timothy Zahn! Excellent read.
Survivor's Quest by Timothy Zahn (22 years after ANH) - This was really good as well and it's sequel is Outbound Flight which takes place about 27 years before ANH.
The New Jedi Order by various authors (19 books, 2 ebooks and set 25 years after ANH) - I really liked this series a lot, it was different and unique. I'll warn you now a beloved character from the movies dies in this series, if you want to know beforehand, I'll tell you or you can just wait and find out, if you don't already know that is. This death brings about some events in the first couple books that I really didn't care for because I didn't think the characters would have acted in such a way. That being said from the book Balance Point and on, the series is great and most the books are excellent. Here's a listing of all the books:

The Dark Nest Trilogy: The Joiner King, The Unseen Queen, The Swarm War by Troy Denning (35 years after ANH) - I was so excited for these books because TD is one of my favorite SW authors but I was greatly disappointed in them. They didn't even read like one of his books and the storyline is a bit weird and silly. I could have done without this series but you still should read it.
Legacy of the Force series by Aaron Allston, Karen Traviss & Troy Denning (40 years after ANH) - I think you probably know most of my thoughts on this so far if you've read my rants and posts about it :P The books are very well written and the storyline is interesting but I very much dislike what is happening to some of the characters. Here's a list of the books:

If I create a new house and put items that other people have made that I've downloaded into the house and upload the house (with proper credit to the item makers of course) will whoever downloads the house have to go and download the items individually or will they just come in the house? *bows before your Simliness* :D
