Of books and movies

So I finished Sacrifice today and let me say that I kind of feel indifferent about it. I'm not extremely upset but I didn't care for the book either. I found myself annoyed by many things in the book.
First off the fact that this book brings about the death of a major character and that it seemed like it was more about Boba Fett than what was going on with the Skywalkers/Solos. I know that the whole Mandalorian stuff is the author's thing, but I was annoyed by it nevertheless. I will say that she did a good job interweaving it into the storyline, but it could have been left out completely and wouldn't have bothered me a bit. In fact I found myself wanting to skip all those parts to get back to what was going on elsewhere.
Of course the major disappointment is the death of Mara Jade. I'm at least thankful they didn't do it cheesy and she died with some determination. I found it curious that she didn't become discorporeal but like it said, she wanted to leave evidence behind so they could track down Jacen. Still it makes me wonder a couple wild thoughts about some things since reading it, but I'll wait awhile before I say anymore to see if it has any basis in future books.
I liked the relationship between Mara and Ben, I think it's something we haven't really gotten to see a lot of in previous books, instead others seemed to focus on the gap growing between Luke and Ben. And Luke and Mara's relationship didn't seem right to me, some of their actions and things that were said just seemed out of character a bit.
Also was the absence of some major characters, namely Han, Leia & Jaina. I don't see how any of them would just go off and leave Jacen to his devices. I can see them putting Han & Leia on the backburner for this because of all the arrest warrant business, but I don't really see Jaina just leaving her twin alone as he turns darkside. But I understand why they weren't included, there were already too many characters running around and some had to be left out. This is another example where I think the Mandalorian stuff could have been left out.
I feel bad for Luke, he is definitely going to go through some things in the next book or two. I found the theory about Luke turning dark for murdering Lumiya, killing Jacen and being redeemed by Ben that

I guess all I can do is wait and see what comes next.
Other books that I'm quite anxious to get my hands on that are being released soon:
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - July 21st
Star Trek DS9: Fearful Symmetry - July 31st
Star Wars LOTF: Inferno - August 28th
yay books!
I have recently watched two really good movies. The first was Pan's Labyrinth which was really quite good. It was interesting, intriguing and entertaining throughout the entire movie. I would definitely recommend seeing it if you haven't already. I'm going to buy it as well.
The other was The Fountain which I upped in my queue after seeing

And have I mentioned I really like the Netflix "Watch Now" feature? Because I do.
