cats & bitching

stargaterThis lady calls tonight to tell me that they found a cat that had been left outside and was malnourished and that they couldnt take care of it due to where they lived. We keep an ACO van in our parking lot so when things of this nature happen we can take the animal overnight and then they can come pick them up the next morning. So I go out there with them to get the cat when they brought it in and my heart just broke for the poor thing. (Im a huge cat lover btw) It looked like it had been left outside and was very malnourished and had ticks on it. It is an adult cat and is black and white. It was the sweetest little thing, so calm and gentle. So I talked with the people for a bit then put it inside the truck. Even tho we are not supposed to, we put some food and milk in there for it. All the poor kitty needs is a loving home where it can be brought back to health and it would be perfectly fine. I really wanted to bring it home and nurse it back to health myself, but we can get into big trouble for that. I have a really bad feeling due to its condition that they will just put it down. This makes me very sad. I think Im gonna call tommorrow or the next day and check on the status of it, I really hope someone will take it home and care for it.
So I finally get home and of course there is not one fucking parking space at all up and down both rows in the whole street area where my apt building is located. Every damn space was taken and directly in front of my building, despite the signs that say "Resident Only Parking" there were at least 5 vehicles that I know dont belong here. Also at the end of the row is an area where there are about 4 spaces that are empty, they are basically extra spaces and there are 3 cars in there that have been there, without lic plates and havent moved for months. This pisses me off, if people are gonna leave their junkers outside, they should at least have the courtesy to leave them parked in the guest parking areas or the gravel lots.
So there is this clearing with a little walking path through it and next to that is a wooded area, so I drove over that and parked my car right in the grass. I just hope someone says something to me. Everyone here bitches if you even look at their parking space, but for some odd reason when it is they that have guests over, it doesnt seem to bother them all that much.
