Stargate Friday

SG-1
Overall good episode, I wasn’t sure about it from the previews with all the Lucian Alliance stuff but it had its ‘on the edge moments’ and the rest followed up well. I was totally shocked at the death of Colonel Emerson though. I liked him, just as I liked Pendergast when he bit it. What is it with loosing their ship commanders (they should just start wearing red shirts already hee) and I admit I thought for a moment that the Odyssey might end up being destroyed, which I was glad to see it wasn’t. Beaming that Avateo (sp?) out into space was a nice touch, even if it was accidental :P
SGA
Another really good Atlantis episode, just as I had come to expect from them. And this was the “auctioned poking stick” episode, where at the TrekExpo this year Paul McGillion auctioned off the stick he used to poke the dead Genii soldiers with. I think it went for a couple hundred dollars and went to benefit a children’s charity. (in his full accent “it’s for the wee chil’ren! The little ones!”) hee
The concept was interesting, that everyone was kind of seeing what they would consider a worst case scenario or living out some scene from their past. I guess the ‘predator’ like thing in the woods Ronin kept seeing was part of his Wraith vision? Everyone ended up getting shot except for Beckett and Sheppard with Rodney’s crying “You shot me!” several times lol. Though when he was complaining about carrying the stretcher and later when he was helping the other guy (the one shot who lived) he didn’t complain and actually deflected a chance to do so. I think he complains most the time simply because he can :P
Both episodes were good, a swell Sci-Fi Friday. Next week is the last for the mid-season break. Both are going to be continued (why do they always have to do that!) and I spotted a Jack in Atlantis eeehe :D
