BSG thoughts

So last night was the Harvest moon and it was sure big and bright! It was really neat after the sun had risen, the moon was still in full view in the clear sky opposite of the sun. All the leaves are turning to the beautiful oranges, reds & browns and it looked gorgeous over the tree tops this morning.
Also I've gathered up a few thoughts on the return of BSG which is under this
Sectioned up because it was easier.
The marriages…well it seems everyone just up and got married to each other in the year that has passed.
Anders & Kara – Knew about this one of course and I like them together. I had this bad feeling that Anders wasn’t going to live long but I’m hoping I’m wrong because he is growing on me more and more.
Lee & Dee – Yea still not jiving with me all that much. I just never cared much for them as a couple but now they’re married…didn’t really see that one coming. I still don’t see it lasting.
Helo & Sharon – I’ve always liked them better than Tyrol & Sharon so that’s pretty cool. I also like how she’s integrated back into the fleet and is now even commissioned again. I just hope they aren’t planning to use her to carry out some awful Cylon plan against the fleet; I like it that she is helping them.
Tyrol & Cally (and baby!) – They’re just too cute; I hope they stay that way.
The Resistance & the Cylons
I like that for the most part they are all working together and I like seeing Anders as an active part in it all working alongside Tyrol and Tigh. And I don’t care if she means well or has the right intentions but Ellen Tigh always seems to screw things up. I’ve never been much a fan of her in the first place, she thinks she’s the one in control but actually she’s the one being manipulated and never figures it out and others always pay the price for it!
The NCP rounding up and detaining their former friends, how awful would that be? I suppose perhaps their reasoning for joining such an organization sounds good but still, I don’t see how they can do the Cylons dirty work for them. Perhaps it is really just a front for another way at striking back at the Cylons but something leads me to believe that isn’t the case and we will be seeing more along the lines of Cylon collaborators vs. everyone else.
I’ve always thought there was something more behind Caprica Six and Sharon’s motives but I’m starting to think they might be somewhat sincere about co-existing with humans. Obviously the other Cylons don’t share their view about humanity and I’m wondering why they are even bothering to keep humans alive. I’ve always figured that because the Cylons can’t reproduce on their own, that’s why they haven’t killed them all but it seems some of them don’t even care about procreating that way so why follow the others?
Finally Baltar showed some balls and at least stood up to them! Though of course regardless or not if he had signed the list, they would have still found a way around it and carried out their plans.
Other Things
Kara, Leoben & Casey (I think it was Casey?) – Kara spiking him through the throat and then eating a piece of steak was interesting and I wasn’t expecting it. What is his interest specifically in Kara anyway and is Casey really what he says she is? It’s like he’s trying to brainwash her into loving him but why bother when he already has what he wants – the child. If they only cared about just reproducing, why go through the whole charade with her?
Pudgy!Lee really needs to work on the weight; I mean he really needs to. And it almost looked like it was kind of awkward for Jamie Bamber walking around in a fat suit. He seemed to look better in the preview for next week though.
Roslin & Zerak – I really liked their scene together near the end, former opponents who now stand on common ground. He probably really does wish she had stolen the election and then they wouldn’t be in the predicament they are in now.
I was on the edge of my seat for the last five minutes and of course we all know Roslin and some of the others are going to make it just fine (it would have been better if she hadn’t been in the preview for next week just to leave us hanging a bit more) but I have a feeling Zerak won’t make it. The firing could have been anything, it could have been the NCP turning on the Cylons or perhaps the others meeting Sharon were nearby.
Looking forward to next week indeed.
