Random thoughts:

~ There was a bit of the intro missing, you know, the tantalizing preview of the episode we're about to watch. I missed it :( I wonder if it was left out purposefully for a reason or just to try and keep it as spoiler free as possible.
~ I really didn't expect the glimpses into pre-war days of everyone's lives. I actually figured there wasn't much else that we could learn from that really but it was done brilliantly and I'm glad we got to see them. I'm sure something with them will play into what's coming up.
~ Seeing the ship disassembled was sad.
~ I liked that Bill visited the memorial wall and took Hera's picture.
~ I also really liked him organizing the rescue mission and to see the Doc wanting to help. And then came the part when Laura hobbled up and said that he wasn't going to leave without her. And at that moment I completely broke out in tears. I actually had to pause it, compose myself and then ask 'wtf just happened there?', rewind it and watch it again. That scene really got me and I'd put it as one of the most moving scenes that I've seen all series long.
~ I really liked seeing the folks on the starboard side of the line that were willing to assist in the mission. Of course, I can understand why many wouldn't want to go but I was really cheering for those stepping over that line.

I thought this was a beautiful setup for the finale and I'll admit my expectations for it are pretty high though I also highly doubt that I'll be disappointed. And it's a two hour finale, I'm so glad it's extended because I really don't think that a series finale can be summed up in just one hour. Yay.
