So lately it seems my current obsesion with grinding my Jedi in SWG has left me with not only a near burnout of playing the game for the time being but also neglecting other things (including LJ) that I want to do. So I've decided that there is no hurry for me to finish grinding, it will come when it comes and I'm going to play when I feel like it not just get on during every free moment I have to gain a few hundred thousand xp. Some things I have been really wanting to work on again include some website updates, fanfic, a new music video (two actually) and some lj icon ideas that I've been thinking of. hehe :D
Today I've spent a refreshing and relaxing day cleaning and catching up on some TV that I missed during the week. SG-1 was really good Friday night, both episodes were interesting and good. Khalek was interesting, you know being the whole 'son of Anubis' thing and go Daniel, he was all over it hehe. The next ep was good as well, most the stories so far involving the Ori have been good and the Ori sure do just keep getting badder and badder the more we see them lol and I have to say Orlin wasn't so bad this time around being in kid form and all :P Overall not to shabby for a summer finale and Atlantis looks really good for next week too, though I am wondering why they played two SG-1's and then two Atlantis's the way they are doing it /shrug. BSG was also really good, especially the end and building the ship and naming it after Roslin, that was really awesome, one of my favorite moments in the series so far. Indeed.
CBS has this new show that just started last Friday called Threshold and it looked interesting and seeing as it is on the same time as SG-1, I downloaded and watched it. It first caught my eye in the commericals because they said it's "the best sci-fi show since xfiles" and it's about aliens who land on Earth. I do have to say it is definitely interesting and a bit weird at times, it's keeping a lot of the strange things that are happening all giving you twists and turns so you really don't know what is going on. And yes it does have a bit of a Lost feel, but I think a lot of shows are trying that route seeing how well Lost has done, which by the way I can't wait for season 2 to start w00t! Anyways Threshold is good and I like it so far, so I will continue to watch it and see where it goes from here.
Survivor is also started last week! It's Survivor: Guatemala now and it looks to be a good one too. The teams were already divided at the beginning of the show and they had been saying there were going to be two special guest stars to be announced. They ended up being Stephanie and Bobby Jon from the last season and they are to each play on a team and are actually playing the game again. I liked both of them from the last season so it's kind of cool. The show started off with each team going on an eleven and a half mile hike through the jungle to see who gets to have some ancient Mayan ruins as their camp. Talk about a start! It was kind of gross though, everyone was getting sick and throwing up and stuff blech. Looks to be another good season though. The O.C. also came back two weeks ago and it's really good too, it plays at the same time as Surivor so I usually have to record one and watch it afterwards. It's almost beginning to get easier just to download the eps then fuss with the silly VCR lol
I've been watching a lot of the xfiles again as it seems to be on TV all the time now. It's on sci-fi and WGN every day and on Wednesday and Thursday nights it plays on TNT for 5 hours while I'm at work. Ahhh good ole xfiles, it brings back some memories and seeing some of these eps really make me chuckle now, especially the earlier ones :P
8 days until the next Dark Nest book: The Unseen Queen. Then just around the corner in November is Dark Lord: The Rise of Darth Vader which I have been looking forward to as well. Part 3 of Dark Nest: The Swarm War comes out in December. Then in January comes Outboud Flight and then I have to way all the way until April for Coruscant Nights a trilogy following ROTS. Also the new 9 part series that comes after the Dark Nest trilogy (yay more post-njo!) now has a series title and it will be called 'Legacy of the Force' and the first book is titled 'Betrayal'. w00t I can't wait...must have more new Star Wars books. yesss precious we wants them yesssss
