New LJ theme

I've been thinking about doing a new LJ theme for awhile and decided to actually sit down to do it today. It's another DS9 theme and it's darker and has a cooler feel to it. I tend to want to work with these types of colors this time of year and usually lean towards lighter and brighter colors when it's warmer out. I'm still not 100% sure that it isn't too blue and may alter the colors slightly later, but for now I'm satisfied.

The images in the top header are from screenshots from the episodes: Past Prologue, Starship Down, Treachery, Faith, and the Great River & What You Leave Behind.

I'm also working on futher categorizing my communities, better organizing of icons/keywords and a tags purge with the possibility of going back and start tagging old entries again. When I start changing icons/keywords I'll probably have dozens of icons replaced by the default :P

It looks a lot more grey on my end... Not very much blue. Could just be Rodney.

I'm still working on a replacement for my current lj header. I love that pic of Mary and Eddie, but I've had it as my layout for half a year now. That's gotta be a record, lol!

Well it is greyish but it's on the blue end. I started out with a much bluer blue and gradually toned it down so when I look at it, it's more blue than grey to me.

You have had yours for quite awhile, but I like it! Still I get restless for a change of scenery about every 4-6 months and usually end up changing it. Do you know what I think would make an awesome layout and I love the colors in it, is your last fanmix picture, something along that lines. :D

Yeah, it does slide a bit more toward the blue-grey than the grey-grey, lol.

Hee. I used to change mine often until I did the Paley Fest layout. I still love it, but I need a change. I'm keeping everything and might use it again someday.

lol, I would do the fanmix, but that's not my original artwork and I don't feel like asking nyuszi if she could alter it for lj use. :)

It's very basic since I don't have any of my brushes or other PS tools. I plan on filching them from my old computer today. Then we'll see where I go from there.

I was considering putting Shep opposite Laura, but I can't find any great pics that would match up nicely. I think I'll just leave Laura as the header and keep the Shep moodtheme in place.

I've always liked that one promo picture of him, I think he's wearing maybe a grey shirt and blue jacket and is standing with his arms crossed? Still I like the header the way it is and I like the Shep moodtheme.

lol I have a star trek header and star wars mood theme :P A healthy little mixture is good :D

Thanks! I just changed the input box color so now the cursor can be seen, it kinda bugs me when I can't see it either lol :)
