New Music Video - Mad World

I've actually had the idea for this video for some time but just hadn't found the right song for it. That is until I was watching Jericho last night and Mad World (from the Donnie Darko soundtrack and Gears of War commercial) was on it and I remembered how much I liked the song. It just all fell smoothly into place after that.

It's DS9 themed and centers on the Dominion war. It's pretty somber and reflective and I thought the song was a perfect fit for it. I also did another one with an alternate beginning, where before the video and song start, it's a scene from Sacrifice of Angels where Miles and Julian quote a verse from Alfred Lord Tennyson's The Charge of the Light Brigade. I really like the poem and it's perfect with everything else but in the end I decided I didn't like it as much overall. I don't usually care for original audio to be spoken in music vids though I have seen some that are done extremely well. I didn't think mine fell into that category so I left it out. However, I really do like this video and it is one of my favorites of all that I have done.

hehe I actually have several ideas for some BSG vids but none of them have just jumped out at me and said "make me now!" lol. It's like that vid above, I've had the idea forever but didn't have a good song choice and then I heard it and it just jumped out and yelled "make me now!" so I did. :P

Sorry I'm only now commenting; I had it downloaded and watched it sunday. I just really wanted something great to say about it, but, nothing really came to me. I really liked it though; is actually only the second video I've seen made with this song. During the happy birthday part, the characters really felt like spirits; ESPECIALLY when it got to The Lady Founder, Weyoun, etc. It made me wish I still had this one DS9 Knocking On Heaven's Door video; also this other Dominion War video, which I don't recall the song used. I think it was an Ozzie Osbourne song; I didn't know it at first. I never did learn the name though. xP Anyways, GREAT WORK! ^_^

Thanks, glad you liked it! :) And that "happy birthday" part is one of my favorites too as well as the part that I'm most unhappy with lol. I really would have liked to had the frame of Admr. Ross & Sisko be longer and I should have cut a couple seconds out between Miles & Kira. I originally had it zooming in on one of the Breen between the Founder and Weyoun but took that out. Afterwards, I wanted to go back and redo those little parts mentioned above but just didn't. I don't know if I'm 100% satisfied with any of my vids, I always watch them later and think of something that could make it better. lol

I Certainly Know What You Mean; Concerning My Own. I'll Be Honest Though And Say I'm Glad You Took Out The Zoom; I Think It Would Of Taken Something Away From That Little Piece. But That's Just Me :)

Yeah, that's what I decided as well that I thought it was more poignant without the Breen in there. I could probably always find something I'd like to change in every video I do, I image it'd be a never-ending cycle lol

I agree. I like finding DS9 vids too, the world needs more that's for sure! I've come across a few that are really good and done quite well, but they are few and far between.
