Last night I saw a story on the news about a swimming pool and it's 1000 gallons of water disappearing without a trace (or a drop of water!) from a backyard in NJ. Obviously it was aliens. They probably had a buildup of exhaust in their impulse reactor which re-routed the flow of plasma and caused the emission of chronotons from the dilithium crystals to destabilize which in turn caused a cascade failure to the warp field alignment. Oh and a fire in main engineering. Of course the only thing that could suppress it would be chlorinated water from Earth, so they stole away with the family pool in the night. Such as the way of things sometimes.

See, that's what I was going to say too. That is the most obvious explanation.

Wow - all that plus a fire in engineering? Fun!

[That was very inventive btw. Kudos!]

Srsly though - I need an explanation to this one! This is going to bug me ALL NIGHT! (And probably into tomorrow!)

Oh yea, all that other stuff was nothing... who knew Earth pool water was the only thing to put out exotic alien starship fires ;P

I am quite curious myself as to the strange disappearance. I would have thought if someone was able to siphon the water into a tank or something that it would have surely been noticed/heard in the middle of a residential neighborhood. And it would have taken a lot longer then when they said they last saw the pool in the yard and the time they woke up and noticed it missing. I can't think of any other way to get the water out. Unless of course they are just kooks wanting their 5 minutes of fame ;P

Yeah, I thought they may just being wanting their 5 mins of fame too. But, if that's not the answer...then WHAT IS! pfft. You think there's such a thing as a whisper quiet siphon? idk.

If they ever solve this, plz lmk :P

A fire in engineering? You mean the ship didn't manage to put out the fire? Another malfunction? OMG. I don't want to be that chief engineer. He/She'll have a lot of explaining to do. :D

Definitely, will do. How could I not share the finding, if it's ever even solved that is. :P

It's like no matter what else is wrong, there's always a fire in engineering. And shields are always down to 60%! heeehe ;D

Oh, maybe the captain wanted to go swimming? *giggle* It might not be the Chief Engineer's fault then. LOL. He/she was only following orders. :D

Ty :)

And I hope this gets solved. It'd be irksome if it wasn't. Not that I'll probably even remember a week from now, but still...it could be a torturous few days! ;p

Especially if it were him. ;) I'd yell right back if he yelled at me. *shrug* *lol* (But then, that's EXACTLY why I'd NEVER want to be a Starfleet officer. Ugh. Nah...)
