Well it's still alive ;P and does seem to be growing. Though I don't really see how this little thing is supposed to grow into a big flourishing flower. *shrugs*

Did I miss the first egg post? Or have I just forgotten? :x

What sort of flower is it meant to be? And....why are you growing it in an egg? *amused*

It's (http://stargater.livejournal.com/428093.html) over here, the original post that is. It came like that in the egg, that's part of why I liked it because it was in an egg! hee. I think it's supposed to be a Petunia or something though I have my doubts it'll live that long for me to see the actual flower :P

OMG THAT IS SO CUTE!!

After reading your first post I then Googled it and went to the site to see how it all worked and where it started. And I fell across the Nyokki *squee* I'm sooooooo not surprised to know this is a Japanese thing. They make the coolest/cutest stuff! *wants them all.

It's actually a pity the eggling grows up to be a normal plant. Then again, maybe you can get another one when the first one grows :D

I have faith that you'll see it flower :)

Isn't it though ;) *pets the eggling* I had no idea about them either until I saw one in the store so then I went and looked at the website and I love the Nyokki too, it's so cute!

I kind of figured it would be a smaller plant since it's in an egg afterall but I think it's supposed to be a full size flower. Of course it would be cuter if it were a miniature flower. Kinda like those mini fruit trees ;)

Ohhh. A minature flower! They should do that!! That'd be soooooo cuteeeee. I've also wanted a Bonsai tree forever, but I'd probably be crap at looking after it ;.; (Not to mention they cost a fortune).

I searched for Nyokki retailers this side of the pond...but they only sell the Egglings -.- Pft to them! I wonder if one would survive a transAtlantic crossing :/

Oh, that reminds me, I think there's a pic of the mini orange tree with a kitten. I'll have to find it and post it :P

I doubt I'd find a Nyokki around here either. I bet it would survive, the Nyokki looks to have a little tougher shell than the Eggling. Assuming of course it was packaged well and didn't get dropped or smashed too many times. I watched a show once on how mistreated packages are when they are shipped. The poor things inside them!

awwww the mini orange tree and a kitten! Sounds soooo cute! *looks forward to it*

Hmmm. I guess now I just have to decide whether or not to risk it. You saying the packages are mistreated doesn't bode well :/ Maybe I'll just wait 'till they get this side of the pond ;.; pft.

The pic is on S's computer. I'll repost it on my lj when she uploads it :)

Well other than the fact of how much packages are dropped, smashed and thrown, the other point of the show was to demostrate how much better at packaging we are becoming to make sure items in transit arrive safely and in one piece at their destination. I only hope it's true :P

Okies, whenever you have time. *looks forward to cuteness post* :D

It looks like one of those Cardassian fish-eggs that Gul Madred used to eat. =P
