stargater: (bsg starbuck shape of things to come)

Fantastic! That was one damn good hour of television let me tell you. And geez it went by so fast! I was like "it's already over!". Quite a worthy season premiere, it looked great, the teaser was wonderful and in traditional BSG fashion, had little elements of surprise scattered about.

First off, when Tigh pulled the gun on Adama in his dream/vision whatever it was he had, I shouted out an expletive before realizing that it probably wasn't happening again since they'd already done that. Still, it surprised me and was quite effective.

And what was up with the Raider recognizing Anders? I've thought since we first found out about 'the final five' that the other human models don't know who they are but perhaps it would make sense for the other non-human Cylon components to be able to recognize them just so that they don't go killing them before they've completed their mission or something. It's also curious since the four realize they are Cylons now that they might be able to override their programming when the time came to not do whatever they were supposed to do. Or perhaps they were throwback models, not meant to be out but someone let them out for another purpose. I still like the idea that there are other 'good' Cylons out there, maybe they're just that.

As for Starbuck, I think they need to follow her and go where she says. I still don't think she's a Cylon if not for anything but she is the obvious one to be the last of the five. I need to know who the final Cylon is, it's going to drive me mad trying to figure out who it might be! I'm very curious about what exactly happened to her and why she's in a new Viper.

Baltar finally shaved! He definitely needed a good shave. And a haircut to follow.

The ending! It makes me want to pull my hair out. A great cliff hanger if I must stay.

*cheers*

*giggles* I disagree about Starbuck, but then again, you know my love for Laura blinds all!

hehe I understand. And if I were in her position, I probably would have made the same decision. But I still think Starbuck is right ;) If she isn't then I fell for the toaster's trick too lol =P

agreed, it was good. :)

I was slightly shocked, but immediately knew in my head he was only imagining it.

Yeah, makes perfect sense, they'd have to know. Since they are unknown, the reasoning for them to be amongst humans, I think, should be something more unique than the rest of the cylons, but it could of still been bad human-wise, leaving them to possibly be formed into good cylons like Boomer & what have you. who knows.

I don't know about Kara, but I at least feel that she's not the actual Kara Thrace we knew. I think, she & her ship were destroyed, like we saw, then something/someone placed her consciousness into a new body with of course a new viper, or they were just reborn a new again. idk, I just feel, that explosion & her mental-state at the time, were needed for her to be able to be the fleet's compass if you will, and destroying her present body, along with her ship, was needed to begin again, to be reborn as the guide. idk :P Or perhaps she is a cylon and the fifth, but it is just too obvious, and it kinda bugs me when things end up being the obvious.

Totally, I never liked the beard. :p

I kinda hate it when they drag them out though, particularly in newer shows.

The fact that they "are to never think about them" definitely indicates that whomever did create the 'final 5' didn't want the others to either interfere or know about them because perhaps they (the 5) weren't meant to be. I dunno. I can see why they wouldn't want the other human models to know but it only makes sense that the non-human Cylons know about them so they don't destroy/interrupt whatever they're supposed to do. I can't think of any other explanation to what happened with Anders except that perhaps instead of the Raider scanning him and leaving, maybe he did something to it instead without knowing.

I think Kara is Kara but that she's certainly come back changed. Whatever happened/is happening most likely was meant to be to bring about whatever conclusion is coming. I won't say that I don't think they couldn't have "grew a new body" or something for her but there really isn't anything we've seen to support that and they'd have to explain it. BSG in typical BSG fashion will probably leave that a mystery I think. They are so good and that and surprising the hell out of you when you least expect it. :P

Hmm, yeah he might have. :)

I think stargate was in my brain because my head was going along the lines of ascension, even throw in some Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory; the bit with the big candy bar. :P
