Oh I totally know what you mean, if I really like something and they do teh stupid with it, it totally annoys me where if it were something say I didn't like so much, I'd probably laugh at it :P

I remember that show Kindred though I can't say I watched it, just remembered it being on. And I agree, some vampire stories can be beautifully tragic and that's alright but most the time I think they are just too gory and lack plot. Like this one movie I watched a couple weeks ago, I can't even remember the name of it, where vampires try to take over this small Alaskan town. Anyway, all it was was blood and violence and savage biting of peoples necks and stuff. Yawn.

30 Day of Night by any chance? LOL! I remember us discussing Josh Hartnett's talent for making movies that suck (no pun intended) - and that was yet another. TBH, actually, S downloaded it but it was a screwed up copy so after 15 minutes it jumped to like the last 15 mins or something and honestly, I was so glad. S was enjoying it sorta but I was just hating it. So when we had to turn it off I was \0/

So yes, vamp (and horror) that are in it just for the gore= zzzzzzzzzzzzz. I dislike those too.

Kindred was sooo excellent. If it ever comes out on Region 2, I'm SOOO buying it. :P

Ah, yes! That's it, 30 Days of Night and I now remember talking about Josh Hartnett lol. The movie wasn't that bad, but it was bad enough :P I don't know why they don't do more of tragic story rather than the gory horror with it, but I guess a lot of people probably associate vampires with horror. *shrugs*

hehe! Well I hope it comes out sometime so you can add it to your collection :D
