Boy, am I out of the SW loop. I had NO CLUE Han & Leia were grandparents now! That book sounds good though. If Brian gets it I'll read it methinks :)

Well to be fair, they really didn't know until close to the end of the LOTF series themselves :P Jacen and Tenal Ka had a daughter in secret then Jacen was killed and Tenal Ka asked Han & Leia to take her (Allana) and raise and to allow her to attend the Jedi Academy. But yeah, grandparents! Geez, that makes them sound so old lol. It does look good, I'm quite excited for it now :D

It's funny that the idea of grandparents=old though. I have a friend who became a grandmother in her 40's - and, actually, there are loads of 'kids having kids' - which is ridic but, well, what can you dooo?

So, are Han and Leia oldish? I'd try calculate them from Empire/Jedi but idk how long after those events they were married lol.

LOL! Well alrighty then ;P Where we are in the time line right now is approximately 40ish years after the Battle of Yavin (ABY). So they'd be in their 60's-70's though people are long lived in the Star Wars universe so it's not really that old :P

They had a total of 3 kids, the first two Jaina and Jacen (twins) were born about 8 years ABY. Their third Anakin was born about 3 years later. Anakin was killed during the Yuuzhan Vong war leading a strike team to destroy the Voxyn cloning facility. Jacen was captured during the war and tortured and sort of went a little crazy afterward and later went darkside and turned Sith. He was killed by Jaina in the end of the LOTF series, the last series we just finished. In the current time line Jaina is about 30 and now Han & Leia are taking care of Jacen & Tenal Ka's daugher who is about 4 years old.

Just in case you wanted a condensed version of the Solo family time line ;P

It just sounds weird thinking of them as grandparents lol. Oh and in case you also wanted to know... Luke married and they had a son named Ben. In the current time line he's about 14 years old.

I don't know why, but I love the name Jacen LOL. It's nice - although I assume you pronounce it 'Jason'. I prefer the look of Jacen tho :P

Thanks for that - I had no idea what the Solo's were up to. Now I'm up to speed ^.^ I'm sure this will be good to know if B gets this book lol. At least I won't be 'huh'?

Oh I agree, I'm not particularly fond of the name Jason really, but spelled as Jacen I am lol. And yeah, it's pronounced the same but the different spelling makes it much more awesome :D

No problem, glad I didn't bore you with unnecessary details. I had to remind myself that I was just typing out a nice condensed version of the time line or I'd be writing all night about all the different things that happened lol ;P

Crystal Star *gasps in horror at the memories of it* I could have done without reading that one. Really, there were some awful books weren't there? :P And Millennium Falcon is set to be released 10/21/08 :D
