You know that beeping sound that large trucks make when they're backing up? Well, I think one has been backing up right outside the window for the last hour. I'm not even sure if it's actually stopped yet because the insistent noise is stuck in my head. argh!

I uploaded 16 new Star Trek icons here @ [livejournal.com profile] stargater_icons.

And speaking of icons, I want a FTW! icon but I've not found any I like well enough and nothings coming to mind. Any ideas?

Last night I saw a dumb Napster commercial on TV where two guys were debating over what the lyrics were to The Clash's "Rock the Casbah". One said it was "lock the cash box" and the other said it was "stop the cat box" and I swear I heard stop the cat box in my sleep all night. I woke up hearing it still and it won't get out of my head! *fidgets*

Ok damnit, why are all the newer tv shows that I like being cancelled. First was Threshold, which I liked but wasn't too disappointed to see it go. But now both Invasion and Surface have been cancelled but they are both really good shows! pfffft. I just hope the Sci-Fi channel picks one or both of them up and that ratings soar for it. meh abc & nbc pfft

Today LJ's new little CSS cleaner that they implemented managed to wreck a tiny bit of havoc with my layout, though it was fairly easily remedied with the addition of !important to some of my CSS. So all is happy again in layout land.

On my computer somehow the onboard audio got enabled and I just now noticed it when I attempted to access the control panel and was spammed with error messages. I disabled it again, but I do wonder how it got enabled in the first place. I have made no changes to my pc in quite sometime. /shrug

I've missed most of tonights Lost and all of Invasion due to various circumstances, though thankfully they were recording so I can watch them tommorrow. Also what little I was able to watch of Lost and even the news now on ABC the audio is totally whacked. It keeps fading in and out and at times only plays softly through the back speakers. meh

Yes I'm a bit annoyed at the things above and I have to be at work in less then an hour. pfft. At least it's finally acting like Winter outside. It's pretty cold and has been gradually getting colder in the last few days. It even snowed a bit in Spingfield but didn't last long, though I have to say I gave up on the hopes of snow back in December and I'm now ready for Spring. It was quite nice out a couple weeks ago, very Spring-like weather and now it's getting colder. I blame the groundhog. Yep.

So the other night shortly after uploading the Santa Claholio picture the PSU in my computer decided to go sizzle sizzle poof. Got a new one from Staples this morning and after checking that everything was hooked up right, I turned on the PC and it wouldn't power on. Everything was connected properly and securly and after several frustrated attempts of powering it on I noticed the new PSU had two 12v 4pin connectors. I hadn't ever seen one with two so I never gave it a second thought. Well the other was bundled with the SATA connectors and once I noticed it, I used that one instead of the other and it powered on just fine. I wasn't even annoyed that I had overlooked such a silly detail becuase I'm just happy my computer is back up and running. I don't know what it is but it's like when the computer isn't working, it's constantly bugging me. Now I may go days without ever stepping near the computer, but if it's not working right it just chews at me until I fix it. Silly I know meh
