I want these very much. But I can't seem to find them anywhere in my size. :/

Amazon.com is having some kind of super awesome DVD sale-o-rama for what their calling "science fiction month" that's nearly irresistible. What brought me to it of course was the mention of all the Star Trek series included in this sale for $35.49! Thirty-five freaking forty-nine a season! For any Trek series! ZOMG! This is fantastic!

They also have some series (SG-1, SGA, Bones and others) as buy one set, get one free and they are marked down to around 25-ish% off.

Also a Movie & TV store blowout with tons of movies and TV shows on sale.

And apparently they have a "sci-fi destination" for all things sci-fi called Cosmotopia which I've never noticed before tonight. Seriously, how did I not know about this before now? I must not be getting all my memos.

Must. Have. Them. All. Really though, this is too good a sale to pass up completely. I'm eagerly looking at the TNG sets because that's the Trek series I'm focusing on collecting now.

*we wants them allllll precious, yesss them allllll*

Found this at the Discovery Channel store (which sadly is going out of business because it's a real neat store) and of course had to get it. It was too geektastic to pass up. BTW, the current time in the picture is 13:49:53 hee. LJ wouldn't let me update for nearly 10 minutes, it was like this yesterday morning as well. *pokes it*

Finally I'm starting to feel better. For the past five days I've did little else than drag myself to work and simply exist. I'm not completely over it yet either, I've still got the damn cough (the cough is the absolute worst ever) and a bit of a head cold but I am slowly progressing towards wellness again. It seems everyone has had or still has this and it seems to take about two weeks to entirely get rid of it and it sure does have a bite. I'll be glad to never see the likes of this kind of sickly ever again.

It also seems that I have missed much in the past couple days. Such as the Rose Bowl Parade with George Lucas and the 501st, but I'm sure to find a video of it on YouTube or somewhere rather easily.

The O.C. appears to have been canceled, it's finale in February being the series last. I actually didn't expect the show to run more than four or five seasons at most, so it's not really that big of a surprise. Though I have been enjoying this season, at least it's finishing up in it's own time so that it can have a proper ending. Not unlike some that just get the plug pulled after the season ends :/

And possibly the best and most exciting of things (other than getting over this cold of course)... It seems there is a Stargate sale-o-rama just about everywhere. Seasons 1-8 of SG-1 and season 1 of SGA are on sale for $19.99. Yep $19.99! A lot of places I looked at online were out of several of the seasons but Best Buy on the other hand has them all available, along with several other shows that are on sale as well. So of course I ordered three... seasons 7 & 8 of SG-1 and season 1 of SGA.

I only need season 5, 6, 9, & 10 of SG-1 for the complete collection but I decided to hold off on the 5 & 6 this time because I had also bought two seasons of Star Trek (not $19.99 though lol) as well. Yay for boxsets! None of my TV DVD sets are complete, I have staggered favorite seasons of all my favorite shows but not the entire set for any of them lol. Though I will have them all. yesss precious allllll of them! I have been quite pleased with the drop in prices I've been seeing here and there, some are actually quite reasonably priced now. Indeed.

Well I think I've rambled on long enough for now.

So this morning bright and early (ok so 8am is early for me alright) [livejournal.com profile] rithmah and I went on the journey to collect Dark Nest I: The Joiner King. Barnes and Noble was a big bust, and I have to say I am becoming quite disappointed in their lack of ability to have new books out and their higher prices lately. hmmpfft. Found it at Waldenbooks in the mall sitting on a lovely front display just as you walk into the store as if it were waiting for me. Check!

During a stop at Wal-Mart for some essential food items it was decided on a whim to buy World of Warcraft. I had been wanting to try the game since it's release but SWG has been keeping occupied so I eventually forgot about it. Then out of nowhere today I just had to have it. I'm in no way bored or tired of SWG, in fact with the nearing of my last unlock in the village and my journey to becoming a Jedi is nearly complete I am more excited then ever. But I really do want to try this game and see how it is and I think if I get to liking it alot I can always split my gaming time nicely between the two. lol that's just what I needed is to get addicted to another game baha

Also at K-Mart I was hunting for this nifty Darth Vader lunchbox thingy that I saw in the ad this week. It looks kinda like a little backpack and is kinda nifty. Besides it's Star Wars and I like it :D Speaking of backpacks they also had them on sale and I found two Star Wars backpacks. I selected one with Darth Vader on it mainly because I didn't like the plasticy stuff that was on the other one. It's cool though I'm gonna change out the bag I carry to work and start carrying the new one hehe.

Too bad I have to go to work shortly instead of indulging in my new book and game, but there is always tommorrow ehe

Indeed.
