Sci-Fi Friday & stuff

Unrelated to Sci-Fi Friday...just a few minutes ago I noticed a cloud of red smoke just hovering in the air. From a distance it looked kind of like car exhaust but then upon closer examination it appeared to be smoke and it was just there hovering. There was nothing burning and nothing around it where it could have came from. It kind of reminds me of the times I've seen insects doing the same, just hovering above something but this was clearly smokey in nature. Strange.
We had a storm last night and apparently the electricity here was out for a while because I immediately noticed my computer in hibernation mode this morning. The APC showed an overvoltage and was on the battery until it safely shut it down. Probably due to lightening because we did have some of that and I'm just thankful once again for the APC because last time that happened I lost a modem and a powerstrip to the storm. Time and time again this APC has sure proven it's worth to me and was worth every penny spent on it.
Ok a little about the eps, wow what a great night of tv. All three eps were good, interesting and of course leaves you hanging waiting so eagerly for their return.
SG-1 was really good and I enjoyed it, I like the whole Camelot thing they are doing. Weee a space battle! And when Sam went to do the crystal exchange with the gate, I was like yay she actually gets to do something! Since it seems that Mitchell has been the only one doing anything, but then I knew, I just knew that something bad was going to happen to the Odyssey since none of SG-1 were on it. Poor ship, they barely had it and all those people on board! The SGC is gonna have to start stock piling those ships from now on lol. I have to say though it would be one hell of a view for Sam out drifting around in space watching everything going on. I'm wondering how they are going to get rid of the Ori ships which looked so much bigger this time then they did last week. They really look nifty though with that energy thingy whatever it is in the middle. Also I wonder why Vala was on one, but I guess she needed a way back heh.
SGA was good as well and you know there just can't be anything good come out of helping the Wraith. Though their plan sounded convincing, why would they demand Atlantis to help them, pushy Wraith. There must be other alternate means to wanting the retrovirus, though maybe they do just want to feed on each other. And it sure would suck to be stuck on that Wraith hive ship. haha oh and Hermiod and McKay amsued me muchy.
BSG was really good, I was totally shocked and surprised by the last 30 minutes though and it leads me to think that it has to be some sort of dream or vision or something. They surely won't skip a whole year of time, there were too many pivotal things going on to skip (Where's Sharon? Starbuck and Anders married? Why were the ships left to barebones crew when it's only been a year since the Cylons? and a few others...) so I think it's probably Baltar's dream (since we did see him with his head down on the desk before it went to the year later) or vision or something about why they shouldn't use the planet as a rebuilding spot and that Roslin and the others were right all along about it. It was just too convienent that the reason they found them then was because of Gina's nuclear explosion residue, which was interesting in itself. I wonder if that was a plan of hers or why did she really do it. Anyway it's all not real, it can't be because I just can't think they would do that. However if they did...wow, pretty huge leap there heh.
I can't believe the 6 month wait for BSG, it's insane! The normal 3 months for SG-1 & SGA, but 6 months for BSG, whyyyyyy? It reminds me of those terribly long waits for the X-Files there used to be and how aweful 6 months was. bah pffffft
While I have remained true to my word of remaining fairly spoiler free this season, I don't know how long that is gonna last me over the hiatus. Thankfully I have a few other things to occupy myself with right now but I have a feeling that I'll have to "accidently" stumble upon some spoilers that I just might have to read. All accidental of course. *cough*
