Watching Fox News tonight at work I spotted what appeared to be a mini Dial Home Device masquerading as a garish piece of jewelry. It bears a remarkable resemblance to a DHD, no? Aside from that, I don't know why anyone would want to wear the hideous thing. And it's gotta be heavy, it looks heavy. It's probably heavy. And scratchy. Not worth the wear. Unless of course, it was an actual mini DHD but I have my doubts.

The message center appears to be having issues again and I rely about 99% on it for comments/notifications. So, if replies from me are delayed or non-existent, that's why. Really, it's not my fault!

Unrelated to Sci-Fi Friday...just a few minutes ago I noticed a cloud of red smoke just hovering in the air. From a distance it looked kind of like car exhaust but then upon closer examination it appeared to be smoke and it was just there hovering. There was nothing burning and nothing around it where it could have came from. It kind of reminds me of the times I've seen insects doing the same, just hovering above something but this was clearly smokey in nature. Strange.

We had a storm last night and apparently the electricity here was out for a while because I immediately noticed my computer in hibernation mode this morning. The APC showed an overvoltage and was on the battery until it safely shut it down. Probably due to lightening because we did have some of that and I'm just thankful once again for the APC because last time that happened I lost a modem and a powerstrip to the storm. Time and time again this APC has sure proven it's worth to me and was worth every penny spent on it.

hahaha I got this in an e-mail and while I'll admit it's mildly disturbing, it is quite amusing. Because I seem to be at the end of the line in getting/seeing/hearing things, everyone's probably already seen it, but if you haven't take a lookie :P

Last night there was this most aweful smell all around outside. I don't really know just how to describe it because it was very peculiar. However I would probably say it smelled like wet rusting metal, very metallic and kind of chemically. For some reason I got the image of a large metal structure being buried deep underground where it rusts badly and then hundreds of years later a freak downpour unearths it where it is found (and smelt) by everyone. It was a really disgusting smell and seemed to be everywhere outside, thankfully it's gone this morning. blech

Also my favorite local radio station now streams live 24/7 on the net! I can't really get that clear a signal from my receiver at home so this is cool because now I can run it through my computer. hehe

This is one of the ugliest dogs I have ever seen. Ever. All those Chinese Crested Dogs are inherently ugly, but this one really takes the cake. I kind of feel bad for it, poor thing.

Or just maybe they are used by the wicked time trolls as minion pets to ferry their heinous overlords about and are forced to do their evil bidding. And if they disobey their midget masters, their punishment is considered one of the most atrocious and unspeakable acts that could ever possibly transpire: they grow hair and actually look like a dog! *gasp* We shall speak of it no longer!

After successfully collecing the new Star Wars Dark Nest book: The Unseen Queen from a Borders Express tonight (which by the way the pic of Leia on the cover, she doesn't look that much younger like I was thinking that it was an earlier depiction of her) I saw something very disturbing on the way back home.

In the opposite lane of the highway was this truck and in the back of it, was a huge half of head. It was just this massive head that was cut in half and the face part was what could be seen. I mean here you are just going along like normal and all of a sudden there's this huge half-head staring you down from the other driving lane. It looked like it was part of some big billboard/advertisment sort of thingy but I was like OMG look at that huge half-head!! yea freakish I know.
