Bones, Life on Mars & X-Files

Oh, how I've missed this show :D It was good even if I did figure out the killer/ending pretty quickly. Though the part that sticks out to me like a sore thumb was during the ceramics "date" (which was pretty funny btw) but it was Sweet's girlfriend' comment about him "killing a thousand people" and he quickly retorting "in a video game". This of course feeds one of my ideas that Sweets either is/or is an apprentice of Gormogon. I've got a couple running theories about Gormogon is but I shall say no more for right now.
Funny lines that cracked me up: "serious as a gas attack" (hey those can be serious sometimes too you know!) and Brennan saying "bowling rink" instead of 'alley' lol.
So, I've started watching Life on Mars after learning of it while reading something about John Simm awhile back. It looked interesting enough and since I've developed an odd fascination with the BBC I dl'ed the first season. I also had read that they're re-making an American version of the show with Colm Meaney in it so I was curious about the original before the re-make is supposed to air which I believe is in August though it may have been changed because of the writer's strike.
It's not bad, I'm enjoying it so far and will probably watch all the episodes. There are only 16 total as it only ran 2 seasons, which I find kind of odd because I thought it had good ratings and such. There's also a spin-off/sequel show to it called Ashes to Ashes which I might watch if I end up liking it well enough.

Date: 2008-04-17 07:31 am (UTC)I could see that on a bigfoot poster, but yeah, I'm not either. Honestly though, perhaps it's just me, I don't know what kind of title binded with X-Files would ever have me impressed. I liked Fight the Future better, but even that I'm not impressed by.

Date: 2008-04-17 01:02 pm (UTC)I think it's funny to entertain the idea that Sweets is Gormogon, and I'd laugh my ass off if that was really the case. Whenever his girlfriend brought up that killing thing, I thought of WoW or Halo 3 or something, lol. Now that you mention it... ;)

Date: 2008-04-18 05:12 pm (UTC)I'm with you, I think the title to the XF movie is kinda meh and uninspiring. But then I know Chris Carter wanted something else that the studio didn't like - so it's a compromise of sorts. Pity you can tell x_x
