IL-LU-MIN-ATE!

Inspired by a post over at
doctorwho where someone made an Etch A Sketch Dalek (which was brilliant btw) and since I obviously have nothing better to do with my time (like sleeping and such) I made a Lite Brite Dalek.

My trial run. I ended up only making one minor change to it as I was quite pleased the way it turned out the first time.

I didn't have any black or dark colored paper so I had to tape together some cut up parts of a 'starry' background from an old Star Wars booklet thingy. They were meant to be cut out anyway so fret not ;)

IL-LU-MIN-ATE!

The final product. Some of the pegs wouldn't stay properly straight and in place because of the thickness of the taped parts on the underside of the paper but I think it turned out alright. :D
You know, it is entirely too much fun playing with Daleks :P

Date: 2008-05-06 02:55 pm (UTC)You're such a dag! That's great! You're quite the creative type, really. I don't think I would've thought to do all you're doing with Daleks :P

Date: 2008-05-07 01:09 am (UTC)To clarify, you making Daleks out of who knows what, or giving the toy versions shower caps and brushes etc may seem silly to everyone else - but I personally think it's adorable and very -you-. Therefore, this is daggy behavior. A little silly to others perhaps, but amusing & endearing to me.
I really don't recall using the term in any other way. Oh, wait, no I lie. Another time I use it may be for dress sense (or lack thereof :P) eg: If I'm feeling daggy myself, that may mean a touch slovenly. ie: large T-shirt, sweat pants and slippers ;p But other than that lovely visual, a dag is the above :)
